EXOR attaches great importance to the ties it has with its community. Being aware of the needs of "living together", EXOR supports various activities in the field of social research, education, cultural promotion and assistance.
In this section, it is possible to learn more about the initiatives promoted by supported Institutions and Foundations, directly and indirectly, by EXOR, as well as to give more information about the CSR policy of the subsidiaries.
The Giovanni and Marella Agnelli Gallery of Art is an institution of a museum through which the Foundation of the same name operates, which was set up in 2002 to carry out activities of public interest in the area of culture, especially in the artistic field and the study of art.
The Gallery, located in the ‘Lingotto’, Turin, has a permanent collection that has brought together twenty-five outstanding masterpieces, donated by the founders, exhibited in a structure designed by the architect Renzo Piano. In the areas used for temporary exhibitions, the Gallery also organises shows and events dedicated to themes relative to collecting, and its evolution, in order to give new opportunities of knowledge, analysis and study aimed at all the visitors, from school pupils to a wider ranger of the public.
Lingotto Musica became association in 1997. Its name summarizes the rebirth of the former FIAT car factory which architect Renzo Piano transformed into a cultural center.
The Concerts organized by the Association, monthly present internationally renowned orchestras, acclaimed soloists, the most famous conductors and the best symphonic repertoire and are, along with the auditorium “Giovanni Agnelli”, a centre of attraction for music lovers not only from Turin but also from all over Italy.
Consulta was established in 1987 with the aim of improving the use of Turin’s historical-artistic heritage. It has organised restoration and enhancement initiatives of this heritage, financed through the contributions of its members and occasionally public funding. Today, Consulta is a concrete and well-established reality in the Turin scenario.
16 million euros have been invested by twenty-nine companies and associated bodies for over twenty interventions that have been carried out; dedicated commitment and professional skills with the entrepreneurial spirit, besides a series of publications on the restorations made.
The Giovanni Agnelli Foundation is an independent institute of culture and research in the field of human and social sciences. It was founded in 1966 by FIAT and IFI to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Senator Giovanni Agnelli, the founder of FIAT. The Foundation has its offices in Turin.
Since 2008, the Foundation has chosen to concentrate its research activities on the themes of education (schools, universities and lifelong learning), convinced that education is amongst the main factors for economic richness, for social cohesion and for human fullfilment .
Il Faro Foundation was founded in Rome in 1997 to help young people coming from all over the world in overcoming difficult living conditions.
The Foundation organizes free training courses and promotes professional integration by giving people the basic instruments.
Il Faro also gives hospitality to people in state of need.
The De Sono Associazione per la Musica was founded in 1988 by a group of private citizens under the patronage of Piedmontese industries to operate in the field of music in favour of young musicians.
The De Sono follows and financially supports by means of scholarships the perfectioning of talented young Piedmontese musicians and composers, publishes essays and doctoral dissertations on musical subjects, organizes the “Accademia di formazione per orchestra da camera”, a teaching activity born out of the idea of making music together from which the string ensemble called “Archi” also derives, organizes free admittance concerts in order to promote a better knowledge of all kinds of music, from the ancient to the contemporary one.
The mission of the Piedmontese Foundation for Cancer Research, ONLUS, was to set up an oncological institute in Piedmont that, through scientific research and clinical practice, would offer an important contribution to conquering cancer, thus becoming a centre of reference for oncology.
Today, this centre exists and is operational. It is the Institute for the Research and Cure of Cancer, in Candiolo near Turin. Since the year of its constitution in 1986, the Foundation has raised and invested over 100 million euros in the fight against cancer. It has undertaken to complete the construction and the technological equipment of the Candiolo Institute and promotes study projects relative to oncological research.
The mission of the Sant’Anna Foundation is to develop and expand the Neonatology Unit of the Sant'Anna Hospital in Turin.
Through initiatives such as “Growing together at Sant’Anna”, which has already seen Juventus Football Club directly involved for many years, the Foundation works exhaustively to raise funds focused on accomplishing a larger and more technologically advanced structure. The Foundation strives for and supports structural and organisational solutions aimed at fostering the humanisation and knowledge of psycho-physical cures and wellbeing, both for the beneficiaries of the service, namely the babies and families, and all the people who work in the Unit every day.
The Italian Institution for Williams’ Syndrome was founded in June 1996, thanks to a group of parents, who make families aware of all the aspects concerning Williams’ Syndrome.
The Institution helps its associates and their families on how to approach medical, legal and social problems related to the disease.
Area Institution was founded in Torino in 1982. Its goal is to help disabled children and their families cope with the problems related to a handicapped person in the family.
Area offers useful instruments and methods to face situations especially for the most difficult periods of life of a family with a disabled child.
Asphi Foundation was founded in 1979 to promote the use of technology to improve disabled people’s life; various situations of sensorial and motor disability, mental and psychic disease, loss of autonomy and ability due to ageing, unfavourable conditions of being a migrant.
Asphi is a non-profit organization dealing with information technology and disability, with the aim of supporting the participation of disabled people in all contexts of life.
