EXOR confirms its commitment to contribute to the development of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale S.p.A.

With reference to the integration of ITEDI in Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso, approved today at the latter company’s meeting of shareholders, EXOR reaffirms its will to contribute actively to the development of the new entity, GEDI Gruppo Editoriale S.p.A., of which it will become a shareholder on completion of the integration and of the subsequent distribution of GEDI shares by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
 
EXOR Chairman and CEO, John Elkann, declared: "With the decision taken today, the project which was announced a year ago takes a decisive step forward, opening the way to the creation of the leading Italian company in the newspapers and magazines multimedia publishing sector. I confirm EXOR’s desire to be the second major shareholder in GEDI after CIR the controlling shareholder, and also my personal commitment as a member of the Board of Directors to sustaining and strengthening the Company in the long term".
